Story
This memory apron is an amalgamation of two of Alison’s mum’s favourite dresses and was made by her niece Amy., Alison’s dad died when she was a baby and her Mum raised five kids on her own. She never bought a lot of clothes, wearing the same ones over and over and over.
There were lots of doilies all over the place when she passed. Amy gathered anything that she could find that reminded her of her grandmother and made a memory apron for all four daughters.
Alison says “I love that the skirt has still got a swing to it, it's not a straight little apron.
When you need a bit of comfort, you just wrap yourself in the memory apron and then you go and bake something!
