For over a decade I have photographed grapevines throughout South Australia’s wine districts. These images have inspired realistic paintings, Before the Wine Series, then abstractions based on light – Transpositions Series.

Now I’m showing a new body of work focused on the beginning of the growing season, Bud Burst, and the beginning of the vintage. Expressing the characteristics of each grape varietal’s aroma, flavour, texture and density as complex layers of abstract colour.

For the first time you will be able to see all these works side by side.
